How does wisp work?
  1. Choose Your Meds

Decide what's right for you and complete a quick (private) medical form. Select a one-time or recurring-subscription plan. If you need help choosing your meds, please take our Symptoms Quiz.

Don’t worry! If you’re unsure of what medication to choose, a doctor will review your information and make sure the treatment is appropriate for your condition.

  1. Our Doctors Review

Within 24 hours, a U.S. licensed physician will follow up by phone or secure chat and write a prescription (when safe and appropriate). Expect to hear from your doctor within 2-4 hours through our secure message center. You will receive an email alerting you that you’ve received a new message in the secure message center of your Patient Dashboard.

  1. Free Delivery | Same-day Pickup

Meds ship FREE to your home in discreet packaging, or you can pick them up same-day at a local pharmacy. Please note that any compounded medications (creams) or over-the-counter medication will need to be delivered from our online pharmacy. These medications are made specifically for wisp and can’t be provided at local pharmacies.

How do I get the first month free?

The first month is discounted automatically during checkout. This discount only applies when you choose to get a quarterly subscription. The initial charge is what you are paying with the discount applied. The next quarter charge is what you will be paying at the quarterly renewal.

Do you ship to all 50 US states?
Yes, we are able to prescribe medication in all 50 states! We also offer free shipping to all US states.
How does a wisp subscription work?
Our subscription plans are quarterly - the patient is charged every 3 months and a new prescription is sent out (for local pick up or shipped to your address). If you need the medication sooner than your next refill, we can send an early refill request to your doctor and charge the renewal fee then push back your next refill date to another 3 months out.
What does wisp packaging look like?
If you choose free home delivery, your meds ship directly from our pharmacy in an unlabeled box and discreet bottles. If you select same-day pick-up, the pharmacy you choose will fill your prescription using their standard packaging (the same as when you get medication from a traditional doctor).
When can I expect to hear from a doctor?

You can expect to hear from a doctor within 2-4 hours. Please note that during holidays & weekends, it may take up to 24 hours to receive a response.

What are medical forms?

After checkout, you will be asked a series of medical questions. These questions are designed to help our doctors diagnose your condition and make sure treatments are safe and appropriate from wisp.

Your doctor must have these completed confidential forms in order to prescribe medications. You can access the medical forms in your Patient Dashboard.

Why do you need a photo ID & selfie?
We need to verify your identity before a US licensed doctor can prescribe mediation. In telemedicine, the best way to do this is by using a photo of your state-issued photo ID alongside a photo of your face. Our doctors need to verify this information to make sure you are over 18 years old and are the person purchasing medication.
Do you accept insurance?

You do not need insurance to use wisp! We aim to make treatment accessible for everyone 🙂

However, if you have insurance and choose to pick up medication at a local pharmacy, you can bill your insurance to cover that local pharmacy's additional fee (co-pay). Wisp does not accept insurance for online consults or prescriptions. The medication cost is included in our prices when shipped from our pharmacy.

Do you accept HSA or FSA payments?
Yes, wisp accepts HSA and FSA payments. During checkout, you will have the option to pay with a credit card, HSA, or FSA card. After your order processes, you will receive a receipt that will have all the necessary information for reimbursement.
How do I access my account (forgot password)?
Go to Login and click 'Forgot Password.' You will receive an email with instructions on how to set up your account (make sure this is the email associated with your account). If you do not receive an email within 1 hour, please check your spam/junk folder. 🙂

Delivery

How fast is shipping?
We offer free delivery with USPS. This will arrive at your home in 3-5 days.
Is shipping free?
Yes, shipping is always free at wisp.
My order was lost, damaged, or is missing a medication!
It’s possible that your package is still in transit. Please contact USPS to get the most updated shipping status. If your package is damaged or missing something, contact Customer Support at [email protected] and we will make sure a new package is sent to you.

Local Pharmacy Pick-Up

How fast will meds be available at my local pharmacy?

A doctor will review your medical information within 2-4 hours, and if safe & appropriate, send the prescription to your local pharmacy. You will receive a message in the Message tab of your Patient Dashboard when this is ready to be picked up.

Make sure to call your pharmacy ahead of time and confirm they have the medication in stock.

Is there an extra charge at my local pharmacy?

There will be a copay fee at your local pharmacy. This charge is for the medication and can be covered by your insurance.

If you do not have insurance, you can use your wispcount card to get a discount on the pharmacy copay.

Can I use insurance to cover any extra costs at my local pharmacy?
Yes, you can use insurance to cover the medication cost at your local pharmacy.
Can I change local pharmacies or switch to delivery?
If you need to change pharmacies, please contact Customer Support at [email protected] and we will update your information or transfer your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.
How will I know this is ready to pick up?
Your doctor will let you know when this is ready to pick up. You will receive an email letting you know that you have a new message in your Patient Dashboard.
Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, check out our wisp discount page for active wisp promo codes.

We also provide a special discount card to help with any additional pharmacy costs if you select local pick-up. If you do not have insurance, you can use the wispcount card and receive a discounted copay.

Who is your Medical Director?

Wisp’s medical advisor is Dr. Laura Purdy, MD.

Dr. Laura Purdy, MD is a family medicine doctor in Fort Benning, Georgia. She received her medical degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and spent several years as an active duty Physician.

Are all of your doctors licensed & board certified in the US?
Yes, all of our doctors are licensed and board-certified in the US.
Where are your pharmacies located?

We ship from three different pharmacies in the following locations:

1. Hayward, CA 2. Brooklyn, NY 3. Egg Harbor, NJ

Are these medications safe?
Yes, all medications from wisp are standard in care for these conditions. All medications are manufactured and distributed from US-based pharmacies.
Do you accept insurance?
Wisp does not accept insurance, however, we do accept HSA or FSA payments at checkout. If you select same-day pick-up, you can use your insurance to cover any additional costs at the local pharmacy.
What is a compounding pharmacy and why can’t I pick up all wisp medications at my local pharmacy?
Drug compounding is the process of combining, mixing, or altering ingredients to create a medication tailored to the needs of an individual patient. Compounding includes the combining of two or more drugs. A compounding pharmacy prepares these tailored medications that are prescribed by doctors. Wisp’s compounding pharmacy is based in Egg Harbor, NJ.
